They allow obtaining objective data on the amount of eye refraction, which is especially important in the study of children, people with reduced intelligence, aggravants and simulants, when subjective methods for determining refraction cannot give effective results.
Retinoscopy rulers are used in ophthalmology cabinet of polyclinics and ophthalmology departments of hospitals.
